Release time:12 Oct,2023

On October 11, 2023, a strategic cooperation agreement signing ceremony was held in Chongqing between the South China Institute of Environmental Sciences (hereafter referred to as "South China Institute—Emergency Response Institute") under the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and Chongqing Environmental Protection Industry Private Equity Investment Fund Management Co., Ltd. (hereafter referred to as "Environmental Protection Fund Company"). Cui Shuhong, Party Secretary and Director of the South China Institute—Emergency Response Institute, and Han Yong, Chairman of the Environmental Protection Fund Company, attended the signing ceremony. Under the agreement, both parties will collaborate closely on areas such as commercializing green technology innovations, fostering the green and low-carbon industry, and helping local governments address pressing environmental challenges.

At the agreement signing symposium, both sides engaged in an in-depth exchange. Director Cui Shuhong shared her insights on scientific and technological research in the field of ecological environment, while Chairman Han Yong presented details about Chongqing Environmental Protection Fund's investment projects. Both parties fully acknowledged each other's contributions to the environmental cause and thoroughly discussed future collaboration opportunities, ultimately reaching the following consensus:

First, we will promote the deep integration of capital and technology, enabling greater effectiveness in translating innovations into practical applications.

Second, as a strategic bridgehead, the South China Institute (Emergency Response Institute) relies on its robust research team as a strong backing for the Environmental Protection Fund Company, while the Fund Company provides substantial support to the South China Institute—both in terms of financial resources and market expansion.

Third, we will expand areas of collaboration by deeply exploring opportunities for cooperation in advancing the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements and addressing ecological challenges at their root.

The signing of this strategic cooperation agreement has clearly defined the direction and provided a roadmap for both parties to deepen their collaboration further. Taking this agreement as a starting point, both sides will steadily advance their project partnerships, continuously expanding the breadth and depth of their cooperative efforts.

Heads of departments and technical leaders from the South China Institute (Emergency Response Institute) — including representatives from the Science & Technology Division, Technical Consulting Department, Atmospheric Environment Research Center, and Environmental Technology Remediation Center — as well as senior investment executives from the Environmental Protection Fund Company, attended the event.
