"The Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation Initiative" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition Concludes Successfully

On June 2, 2017, the first Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition & Elite Selection Roadshow of the Chongqing Dadukou District Environmental Protection Venture Seed Fund Investment Fund was held at Tian'an Digital City Venture Capital Coffee in Dadukou District. During the event’s opening ceremony, Mr. Zhang Yong, President of the Chongqing Environmental Protection Association; Ms. Mei Huiling from Chongqing Science and Technology Finance Service Center Co., Ltd.; and Mr. Han Yong, Chairman of Chongqing Environmental Protection Industry Equity Investment Fund Management Co., Ltd., each delivered speeches.
This year's competition was held under the guidance of the Chongqing Environmental Protection Industry Association, Chongqing Science and Technology Finance Service Center Co., Ltd., the Economic and Information Technology Commission of Dadukou District, Chongqing, and the State-owned Assets (Finance) Office of Dadukou District, Chongqing. Organized by Chongqing Environmental Protection Industry Equity Investment Fund Management Co., Ltd., the event attracted a total of 10 participating companies and teams, representing sectors such as wastewater treatment, mechanical manufacturing, VOC online monitoring, and modern agriculture within the district.
After fierce competition, outstanding innovation and entrepreneurship projects from nine companies—including Chongqing Qingxi Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. and Chongqing Shanheyuan Environmental Engineering Co., Ltd.—emerged as winners, earning the "Outstanding Project" title. These companies have also signed letters of intent with Environmental Industry Equity Investment Fund Management Co., Ltd., positioning them to potentially secure seed funding support.
To effectively accelerate the implementation of an innovation-driven development strategy, Dadukou District has established an Environmental Protection Entrepreneurship Seed Investment Fund. Additionally, by organizing innovation and entrepreneurship competitions and other events, the district has created a platform for exchanging ideas and showcasing the talents of aspiring entrepreneurs, fostering a vibrant atmosphere across the region that encourages mass entrepreneurship and innovation. Meanwhile, outstanding projects will be included in the seed fund’s support program, providing much-needed financial assistance to help small, medium, and micro-sized enterprises—and entrepreneurial teams—overcome funding challenges as they grow. This initiative aims to turn more innovators' dreams into reality.
