The Foreign Environmental Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment has come to Chongqing to conduct a research visit on the green finance reform and innovation project.

On April 13–14, 2017, Fang Li, Deputy Director of the Foreign Environmental Cooperation Center under the Ministry of Environmental Protection, led a delegation of 10 members. Also attending the symposium were Yu Guodong, Deputy Director, and Chen Wei, Deputy Director. Representatives from relevant organizations provided insights into their respective areas of work. Meanwhile, officials from the fund company accompanied the group on a visit to companies invested in by the environmental protection fund.

This survey focuses primarily on presenting the progress of the Chongqing Environmental Protection Fund, as well as exploring the implementation status of the environmental and social risk assessment system, the challenges encountered, and suggestions for improvement. It also covers Chongqing Environmental Investment Company's current business areas and operational conditions, the emission rights allocation methods used by the Exchange, the emission rights trading system, the emission rights trading management framework, and an overview of the emission rights trading market. Additionally, the study examines Chongqing's initiatives in green finance reform and innovation, including but not limited to activities related to green bonds, green funds, and Belt and Road-related projects.
