[Updates from Portfolio Companies] Shenzhen Xinmao Secures Another Round of Hundreds of Millions in Funding, Accelerating Its IPO Journey

Shenzhen Xinmao New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. completed a C-round financing round worth hundreds of millions of yuan in August 2023. This funding round was led by Sinochem Capital, with participation from existing investors who increased their stakes, as well as new investors including Huaan Jiaye, Ruizhao Capital, and Shijia Wenhua. According to disclosures on the website of the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), Shenzhen Xinmao New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. had already filed for guidance registration with the Shenzhen CSRC Bureau on March 7, 2023.
Shenzhen Xinmao is one of the companies listed on the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's whitelist for power battery recycling, and it is also the sole enterprise responsible for formulating the industry standard for negative electrode material recycling in China. The company specializes in the recovery and reuse of lithium-ion battery cathode and anode materials, as well as the development of advanced carbon materials. It has emerged as a leading player in China for the physical-method-based repair and restoration of lithium iron phosphate and negative electrode materials, with production facilities strategically located across key regions including Shenzhen, Dongguan, Baise, Guizhou, Chongqing, and Xinyu.
It is reported that Shenzhen Xinmao's key products include the negative electrode K-6 and lithium iron phosphate F-3. Next-generation products feature graphite Q3-L, lithium iron phosphate F4, and ternary material RL-1. The company’s primary customer segments span across various industries: in the energy storage sector, its clients include CATL, Penghui Energy, Ruipu Energy, Ganfeng Lithium, Shuangdeng Group, Betray, Jiangsu Haiji, Kunyu Power, and Zhongtian Technology; in the digital sector, customers like Guangdong Jiatuo and Anhui Yijiatong; in the power sector, major names such as CATL; and in the base station shielding field, companies including Huawei, ZTE, and Beichenxing.
Leveraging its unique technological strengths, superior product performance, and high-quality customer base, Shenzhen Xinmao has attracted significant interest from investors. In recent years, the company has secured multiple rounds of financing, with shareholders including Sinochem Capital, Shenzhen Guarantee Group, Guangdong Zhongyin Yuecai, Midea Capital, and others.
